Who is a quality prospect?
One of the most wonderful benefits of being an independent businesswoman with Mary Kay is the fact that we have the opportunity to choose who we would like to work with! Working with women who are physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially healthy will provide for a strong team and a dynamic future Unit! When determining whether or not to interview a candidate for your team, take an objective look at her and ask the following questions of her (to yourself). Remember, our business works best on rules rather than exceptions.

RULE
EXCEPTION
She pays a mortgage payment monthly and/or owns her home. ____
She rents an apartment and/or lives with family.___
She has available credit (Visa/MC) and uses a checking account. ___
She pays only in cash.___
She has a support system – a supportive husband, family, significant other, etc ____
She is a single mom and/or has a non-supportive husband or significant other. ___
She has purchased her Basic Set and has booked a class. ____
She purchased just 1 or 2 items. (not on the basic)___
She is accountable. She held her original appointment or called to reschedule. ____
She didn’t show for her original appointment and had excuses for what went wrong when you called her back.___
She has in depth questions about MK business opportunity – co info, promos, money ____
She has a vague interest in knowing about the company. ___
She asked you how many hours you work.___
She asked you how many hours do you have to work.___
She asked how much inventory is best. ___
She asked if you had to have inventory.___
She has wonderful integrity. She would do things the Mary Kay way.___
She tends to look for shortcuts – tends to curse or speak negatively of others. ___
She has high standards for her appearance.___
She places little importance on her appearance.___
She could write a check today for her Go Kit.___
She has to wait to save money for her Got Kit and training material. ____
She has expressed a desire to you of wanting to make a change in her life. ____
You have impressed upon her the need for her to make a change in her life. ___

Quality prospect: 20 or more in the "Rule" column
Desirable Prospect: 15-19 in the "Rule" Column.
Less than 15: An exception. More likely to be a good customer.

See bottom line question before interviewing…
"If my team consisted of all consultants just like this prospect, would I have a successful, professional and goal-oriented team?"
