Tour of the Seeyle Mansion--built in 1904 and furnished by things purchased at the 1904 World's Fair.
We concluded our day with some of us touring the Historic Seeyle Mansion, built by a Dr. Seeyle who made
his fortune with a Patent Medicine. The mansion has 25 rooms, 11 bedrooms, a dance hall and bowling alley in it's
four floors. The owner took us into each room on the two-hour tour. What a treat!

Here we are on the steps in the Grand Entry leading to the second floor bedrooms.

We are sitting in the orchestra pit on the 3rd floor which is where the family and their guests would go after
dinner to enjoy an orchestra and dances on the dance floor.

In the basement bowling alley. The bowling alley was bought at the World's Fair in 1904 for $150, including
delivery and setup. The balls are much smaller than today's bowling ball. The lever to the right resets everything
so that you don't have to walk to the end. The balls also return. This bowling alley is considered to be the
only one still in existence. The owner let each of us have a couple of turns.

The fish pond and waterfall--part of the formal gardens that were orignal to the house back in 1904.
