Early this morning I received a call from a Telecommunication Relay Center. And I was irritated. First of all because they woke me up, and secondly, because I had received more than one email about this, thank God, and knew that it was a scam. Because others had forwarded emails sharing their experiences with this, I was prepared.

Someone who apparently can't hear contacts a relay service who reads me what they have typed. And then she typed back everything I said. The party on the other line wanted to buy perfume. How many? 20. What kind, I asked. Body perfume. I asked again, what kind? Body perfume. A third time, what kind, we have five. They asked what the names were. I wouldn't say. They did not know the names of our product. They wanted body perfume sent NOW.

I told her to type that this is a scam and I'm calling the FBI. Goodbye. I don't think they were very good at English based on some of the replies I got.

If I recall, this is a scam that has been used across our MK world. I suppose they get our number from our websites. Apparently they order a large quantity of perfumes and pay for it with a credit card.  Stolen?  Anyway, however it works, the consultant loses the fragrances because she has already mailed them, and the money for the purchase is refunded to the card, and the consultant has just lost several hundred dollars.  On my case, at $40 for 20 Tribute or Elige, for instance, it would have been $800.  I think the fragrances are shipped by the consultant somewhere here in the states, and then shipped overseas.  Black market?

I don't remember exactly how the scam works, but the bottom line is that the consultant is the one holding the bag. So, beware. They are still out there doing this. Don't be suckered in by thinking you have this big order!

Now that I'm trying to recall, it is possibly even with a money order. Seems that somehow the money order maybe isn't legit, too.  So, just remember...if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Call legal before doing anything that you might live to regret.
