Product Knowledge
By Diane Burton

As I was pre-profiling for a skin care class yesterday, I had a lady tell me she used Retin A. I wasn't sure what I should have her use. And, a couple of days ago, a consultant had a customer that had Rosacea - we thought we knew what to do for her, but I decided to call Medical Relations and ask questions. So here is what I found out - and, while I was on the phone, I asked questions about the TimeWise, also.

Retin A users (for wrinkles)
There are only 8 of our products that are recommended:
#1 Cleanser - Gentle Cleansing Cream - for dry skin
#2 Cleanser - Creamy Cleanser - for normal/combination skin
#3 Cleanser - Deep Cleanser - for oily skin
#1 Mask - Moisture Rich Mask - for dry skin
#2 Mask - Revitalizing Mask - for normal/combination skin
#1 Moisturizer - Enriched Moisturizer - for dry skin
#2 Moisturizer - Balancing Moisturizer - for normal/combination skin
#3 Moisturizer - Oil Control Lotion - for oily skin
If they use Retin A for acne, they must get a list to you of the ingredients they are to avoid and then you can call medical relations and they will help you.

Rosacea
#1 Cleanser - for dry skin
#2 Cleanser - for combination/oily skin
#1 Skin Freshener
#1 & #2 Moisturizers
They need to use products with sunscreen - the ones in our line they can use are:
Day Solution
Age Fighting Moisturizer with Sunscreen
Daily Protection Moisturizer
They must avoid products that have masking in them, alcohol, fragrance (Velocity & Cream to Powder foundation) and anything with alpha hydroxy (triple action eye enhancer & triple action lip enhancer)
It is recommended that you have them use only one product at a time - for example - have them try the cleanser that is recommended for them and have them use it for several days before they try another product.

TimeWise Cleanser
Your customers only need to use an amount about the size of a dime or quarter. They are to put a little water with it to make it creamy (either in the hand or moisten the face first.) Then it is recommended to splash the face with water to loosen the mask and then remove with a warm, wet washcloth. Rinse the cloth and wipe off the face again. If your customer is combination or oily they are to use the TimeWise Cleansing Bar.

TimeWise Moisturizer
Your customers are to use an amount the size of a pea! You can over moisturize!
Your customers will be pleased to know they are to use such small amounts - it makes their products last longer!
Medical Relations was so very helpful and they are willing to help you if you have questions.
There are also Doctor Packets available - you can call Medical Relations, give them the address of the Doctor you are to send the packet to, and they will send it out for you at no charge!

Have a great day!
Hugs,
Diane :)

Additional Comments
Dear Donna,
I read on your website about people who use Retin-A with MK products, and I have to say, I am a Retin-A user and I also use the TW cleanser, moisturizer and sometimes the daily moist. SPF15,, with absolutely NO Problem. I have had no adverse reactions to using the TW system along with R-A. So it can be done, but maybe it’s an individual thing. Just wanted to pass that along.
