Publisher Viewer
Since many of our files are created in Microsoft Publisher, consultants are limited if they don't have the software program, which sells for about $129. One of our very creative adopted web-page-surfers, Julie Candler, from Montana, has come up with what seems an ideal solution. Thanks, Julie. If anyone else tries this and it works, please let me know! Here's what she wrote me:

I just heard from Jane Foster that you'll be in Montana in July, it would be just super to meet you! My $9.95 30 day trial version of Publisher 2002 arrived today. Installed on my swine of a home computer with only 32 MB of RAM, up and running within 3 minutes.
The Install information includes the statement: When the 30 day trial period expires, the product will go into "reduced functionality mode." In this mode, you may only open, view, and print files. Documents cannot be edited, files cannot be saved.
Sounds like a viewer to me, don't you agree! The website to order is www.microsoft.com/publisher/2002trial.htm. For $9.95 they even sent it 2-day airborne to me, shazam!
