Tower of Gifts
By my good friend Cadillac Director Candi Kelly, Gyman, OK

Stories:
Sold 7 of these sight unseen to my dentist last year...
Delivered to office...ladies loved them and even ended up "customizing" their own gifts by trading out things...cute
Sold to a husband last year...came by & picked up in a BLIZZARD...he & his wife had agreed to NOT get gifts for each other. I laughed and told him he'd probably want to get his wife a gift, anyway...he just didn?t know what to do...really had to SELL him on this...he just didn't get it, didn't understand, totally puzzled (CPA...other things on his mind). He went on & on & on & on afterwards to EVERYONE about the gift and how much his wife LOVED it...he didn't understand, but she LOVED IT!
Sold to ladies for their mother-in-laws, sold to parents for their teenagers, sold for corporate gifts, did my sets, did totally customized sets...up to $250...GREAT success with these last year.
My niece joined MK in August...training at athletic club with many professional offices in building...has already sold many of these for this year...

Will share with you:
WHAT it is:
WHY I developed this
HOW to put it together
WHERE to find the resources

Tower of Gifts

WHAT:
3-Piece Stacking round Leopard Hat boxes...
individually filled with Mary Kay products
stacked on top of each other
tied together for final presentation with tulle ribbon...from side-to-side twice...topped with beautiful ribbons, bows, streamers

WHY:
My take on the "12 Days of Christmas"...does that program overwhelm any of you? It did me! I LOVED the concept...
Personal business philosophy:
K.I.S.S.
Sell the product that makes you money!...Mary Kay products (too many basket/gift ideas include miscellaneous items we run all over town spending our time trying to track down and buy to put in our sets...and can't make any money on those things we buy at retail...spending our time & efforts running all over the place getting those "things"
Focus your time & efforts!
Make it AWESOME!
I want the GIVER and the RECIPIENT to be equally delighted with a gift...everybody loves the TOWER and how it looks and the reception it receives:

HOW:
Use packing peanuts in the bottom 1/2--2/3 of the hat box...this gives you a firm foundation or base to work upon...It is also inexpensive filler!
Put tissue paper on top of that...white...some may show thru
Add shred on top
white paper crinkle shred w/ some iridescent shred mixed together
White paper crinkle shred has more body...is more substantial...will support products better
Add some iridescent shred to pretty it up...for some sparkle...
Mix the shred together...pull it together so it doesn't look like "two" things but it looks like "one"
Arrange your products & nestle them in hat boxes...
You will want your hat box "Lid" to fit securely on top
Products arranged "artfully" but together pretty tightly...not shifting around a bunch
When necessary...take product out of boxes and use product AND boxes...fills a space...visually looks like more...adds color...pretty!
Products used inside will be based upon the Tower Set the giver chooses...$99, $149, $199...or customized
When selling Tower of Gift Sets, don't go into complete detail on each & every product included (unless asked). Find many "givers" have a budgeted amount they are willing to spend, and they purchase according to price...they want it to look like a MILLION and the recipient to like it!
• Sets...$99, $149, $199

Inventory control issue...you can customize your sets according to your inventory, what you have on hand, what you want to move, etc. Prior limited edition items...candles, etc...
Stack on top of each other (I don?t use anything to secure them...the BOXES are a part of the gift, and I don?t want tape or glue gun or anything to tear them!)
Get long length of tulle ribbon...tie securely (almost tightly) from underneath bottom...side to side...tie in knot at top of boxes...leave long tails on top
Get long length of ribbon...tie "opposite" sides...all four sides are "tied"
Add BIG pull bow, or polypropelane bow...streamers from other kinds of ribbon
Size & complexity of bow on top directly parallels the perceived value of the gift...much larger, more elaborate, detailed bow on the $199 set!
