Gifts of the Heart for Loved Ones
As you set your business goals, you also may want to set family goals. Giving your loved ones your time is important too. Here are some family goals you may want to adopt, shared by Independent Senior National Sales Director Martha Langford.

Meet your children with hugs and positive greetings as they walk in the door. Keep your answering machine on during the supper hour so you can give your family undivided attention.

Do you say phrases such as: "I'm exhausted;" "This just kills me;" "I dread...;" "I can't stand..."? Listen to yourself and discover how you are investing your emotional energy, and make changes. Our family members watch us and emulate what they see.

Lighten up. Laugh at yourself and realize that nobody is perfect.

Keep harmony and balance in your home.Is your family excited about your business? If not, start a dialogue to help them understand what you do. Be appreciative, not defensive.

Keep a barrier of privacy around your home and family. Be wary of sharing too much of your personal life with your unit members or sister Consultants.

Control your time as you would if you punched a time clock in an office, making time for your business and time for your family.
